Draw Near Unto God

Drawing near to God REQUIRES daily will, and persistence. Many times you won't want to do it, because your flesh is not eternal, Your spirit is willing, but your flesh is weak. James 4:8 tells us 'Draw Near to God, and He will draw near to you." We may say, 'How do we draw close to God?' There are many ways, but in today's society, the 1st way is by daily combinations of reading and listening to the Bible. The Bible, according to John 1: 1, 14, says that in the beginning, was The Word (which was audible voice of God), which people, under the inspiration of The Holy Ghost (2 Timothy 3:16) wrote down for us all to read. That Word which became flesh, and dwelt among us, is that Person that when we read, pours into us, supernaturally.

I love what Revelation 3 :20 says, "Behold I stand at the door, and knock. If anyone hears my voice, and open the door, I will come into him (her), and sup (hang out) with him, and he (she) with Me.' So what is Jesus saying here? He is saying if we yield to the The Holy Spirit's still small voice, and open the door of our heart to Him, then He will take up residence in us, via The Holy Spirit.

This invitation is to be a daily thing. Many times, we won't want to pick up our Bibles, and read and/or listen to. But we must train ourselves to let out spirit man (woman), be in control over our flesh, or fleshly desires.
